Amelia Thompson is a collaborative pianist, vocalist and teacher currently completing her Masters of Music Degree in Piano Performance - Collaborative Emphasis with Professor Alison Edwards at California State University, Fullerton.
She is an active piano accompanist in the greater Los Angeles choral music scene and regularly works with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, VOX Femina Los Angeles and Long Beach Camerata Singers.
This summer she is working towards her first graduate recital in the fall. She will preview some of these works at a recital in August 2025 at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Beverly Hills.
My goal as a teacher and collaborative pianist is to inspire joy, love for the process of musical mastery and to foster personal growth in artists I meet through studying the texts, poetry, understanding historical contexts and finding the common humanity across time periods, genders, and geographical locations.
